I just saw a Herbert listed on Evilbay and it was label as having an "updated tone circuit" the "DeKompression Mod". It also mentions something about the amp's tone circuit was updated to the latest Mark II specs  What the hell is this?? And why would such a mod be needed? :gethim: I just don't get it, if someone can bring me up to speed I would love the info. I can't think of a reason to change my Herbert, I like it the way it is.

Sorry all the clips sound fine but they sound like they are post eq'ed?! They are louder, with more gain and saturation. You can also change the eq settings instead of modding the amp.

Yeah that's pretty much what I was thinking.

It clearly states the recordings are linear, no studio magic.

There are quite a few of us who have gotten this mod installed and without listening to it in person it's pointless to write about it's effect.

Besides discussion of mods by some other tech on this forum is not really polite to Diezel and should take place somewhere else.
