This guitar model, which I've never laid hands on, is really alluring to me. Sorta PRS'ish, yet its own thing. I like the simplicity of 2 humbuckers, 2 pots and a toggle switch. I like 22 frets in a Gibson length neck. I like the stoptail. I just can't try-before-I-buy.

Would greatly appreciate opinions and hopefully good reviews on this model. Search did not yield all that much. I'm leaning towards Edwards, more because of cost.

Something like one of these really intrigues me. Thanks!

I bought a used ESP standard series potbelly a few weeks ago. I think PRS is a reasonable comparison, maybe with a tad more LP double cut vibes while PRS generally has some strat-y vibes. My potbelly has a tremolo which makes it feel a bit more off the map, whereas I’d guess a stop tail would feel closer to a classic Gibson vibe.

Not sure I’ll keep mine forever as I’m not sure it’s my style, but I similarly don’t see why they aren’t more popular given how well it nails the “I want a Les Paul but more comfortable and with a passable single coil tone.”

I don't have a potbelly but I do have an E-LP and an E-SA and while they are not perfect they are great gigging guitars. Great factory setup. Quality pickups and electronics from the factory. My E-SA has a neck carve like a vintage White Falcon. The perfect blend. Not slim taper, not a fat 50's neck. I am so satisfied with them I no longer own any other brands for gigging. I sold my Gibson because as a player the Edwards was every bit as good, better actually. Just make sure you are dealing with a reputable seller if you order from Japan because noob sellers can mess up paperwork and your guitar will get held up in customs. Good luck man, that white potbelly looks amazing.

I had Edwards version, great guitar. Shecter tempest is another alternative.

I have two Edwards. Gibson knock offs.. Schenker V and white Les Paul RR style. Awesome guitars, fantastic finish. The LP plays like butter. Effortless. Has an old JB in it as well and it kicks ass.

I took an interest in those when seeing them while looking for my LPC. My knee-jerk was that they’re basically the Edwards LPC’s with a double cutaway and a different headstock? I never compared the specs.

I never saw these before but I like it. The white one is sweet !

I was going to mention that. There's a white one for sale locally. It's a nice looking guitar, but I'm not a fan of the headstock so much.

One of those sat in the local GC for the longest time, if they would have been negotiable on the price I'd have taken it home.

I saw that GC guitar for sale. The ole one-pic-that-doesn't-show-much ploy. When you see "Fair" condition at GC, one has to wonder.

BTW the 2 pics I posted originally are currently for sale on Reverb.
