Eg3/4 arrived.......

And WOW! Are you kidding? This is tone from the Gods! It is ME! I love it.

Thick, syrupy, dripping, oozing with tone, so much sustain and thickness......better than the MHG I had last year. As thick as the MHG but smoother with still plenty of gain! More gain than my SL2 I believe. So thick, yet still articulate and good clarity. Wow! I couldn't stop playing tonight, was in the zone. :rock: \:D/ :worship: :m17:

I am floored......don't know what else to say. This is why modules like the EG5 and E-Rec might be harder for me to use in the Mod 50 because I would miss the thick, smooth leads of the EG3/4 and SL2. Maybe when I get the E2 someday, I can have the best of all worlds.

...next up will be a Vox module, but I will not be thinking about the E-Rec for a while. Too much fun to be had with these for now.

Dammit.

I've been gasing hard for an eg3/4. This only makes it worse.

BTW, I know what you mean, since I have an IE-4. Those channels really are special. I am in the same boat. It's me. It puts me in the zone. I guess I NEED an EG 3/4 now.
 
I new you would like the 3/4. Is the B channel the lead tone you were looking for or what? Gota love that harmonic quality! The Bman and 3/4 have been my setup for a while now; I'll sometimes swap the Bman for the VX and the 3/4 for the erect or SL2 but always go back. The VX is great and I'm on the fence about liking the A channel of the VX better than the Bman A but I can't live without the Bman B channel. The VX B channel has alot more gain (I'm gonna need a E2 as well). I think you'll dig the erect for heavy rhythms too. Enjoy!
 
Since I have the Mod 50, I use a module for lead and rhythm and this is fine. I like my rhythm and lead
thick and chewy for the most part. I will probably get the E2 someday but I like keeping it simple.
Heck I even thought of getting a modded JCM 800 at one point and just using the guitar volume rolled down
for clean, sometimes less is better - but I am hooked on the Mod 50. However, I am not in a rush to get an E2, because with that I'd have to reconfigure my effects layout and probably have to go rack because I am not carrying around a pedalboard and rack unit - only one or the other. For now, simpler is better.

The Vox is on my list as the next module and the E-Rec down the road.

Damnit Richie, now I'm going to have to hop on that badwagon too! I got a feeling if you like it I might too..that description (along with the egnater one) sounds delicious...mmm smokey.
