Has anyone owned both of these modules at the same time. I love the EG3/4 for leads but sometimes I really miss the MHG. I know I loved playing leads on that module. I believe it was so over saturated and thick it was a pleasure playing leads.

I've got them both in the M4 right now. For me, the MHG goes where the EG3/4 leaves off. But it goes in the opposite direction of the EG5. It gets compressed and saturated. Very thick and dark. I love it. Don't worry about the 2 being similar. To me, most of the Egnater mods are variations on the Marshall so they'll all have similarities in some way.

That's what I remember of it....very thick and saturated. Who knows. Some of the best lead moments I have had with the EGnater were with the SL2. Hehe

In my opinion though, the SL2 or EG3/4, including the Erect all have more than enoguh gain for playing easy, smooth leads.
