I decided that some of my amplitube guitar tracks just weren't cutting it anymore, so I decided to re-track a bunch of stuff with the Mod50. Bet you can't guess how I "mic'd" the amp. :D

Geez, that's hot.
I've gotten to where the EG5 is just like candy to me. Flat out just the most FUN module to play. Letting a nice A power chord ring out just has this vocal quality to it.
I have the SL2X loaded also and there is enough of a difference to me between the two to keep both.

Sounds great! With the body and guitar shot, I might thinks it's Gilbert but your fingers don't match!

Killer tone! Proud to hear a module that I worked hard on getting to sound just like this!

Dude, that sounds fabulous man .......and great playing too. Love it!!

Thanks guys. I've got the module set pretty flat, with the tone controls very close to 12:00, bright and bass boost off, and gain about 2:30 on channel B. The rhythm tracks are similar, but with Gain at 12:00 and the mids at 9:00 and on Channel A. Surprisingly enough, I was able to get pretty close to my live tone here at home. Live I use a boogie 50/50 power amp into a 4x12 w/ V30's and T75's (x pattern). The biggest difference at home?

This...

I love the sound of that EG5! . . . why did I sell mine again?

Sounds GREAT man! SO glad I decided not to sell the EG5 (what was I thinking?)!

I think that is a very accurate representation of the tone.

So, are you using the serial send or the slave out into Logic's amp designer? Sounds cool - BTW

sounds great!

I'm using the serial effects send, that way I'm leaving the amp in standby so I can have silent recording (a must with a 9 mo. old :D ). No joke, it sounds just like my 4x12 with a 57 on it.

Really can't tell that it's not a speaker. It's just getting easier and easier to record at home these days. Thanks for the tip.

Could not tell that was recorded direct with a cab sim...wow, great tone!

Made me miss my EG5 but I had so many similar sounding modules at that time...ah well.
