I haven't contributed a soundclip for a while so I thought I would do one this morning. I stuck a 57 in front of my Mesa Recto cab and ran into my Digi002 without spending much time dicking with mic placement. This is channel B of my EG5. Excuse the sloppiness and getting slightly offtime in the solo. Most of this was first take with the wife upstairs bitching to help her with the house chores. :doh: Why is it when we take vacation from work they always come up with a list of shit they want us to do. :confused:

Anyhow..."LET THE MADNESS BEGIN"
:rock:

EG5

Bill,
Bruce and I are loving your clip! Sounds great! :rock: This is how Randy should have sounded.

Love the clip Bill - great tones and playing. I just bought this module but haven't received it yet. I guess I don't have to worry if I'll like it........

It's cool how well this module cleans up when you roll back the volume in the quiet section. Bonus!

Thanks so much for the compliments guys.

Settings on the EG5 were:
Gain = 1
Bass = 1
Mid = 11
Treble = 11
Bright = 2
Bass Boost = 0
Volume = 12

Settings on VHT 2-90-2
Presence = 1
Depth = 1
Volume = 8 (not very loud)

Guitar:
Ibanez RG770
Bridge PU = Tone Zone
Neck PU = Air Norton

What you hear for guitar is totally dry (no EQ or FX) with the exception that in the lead I kicked my delay on. There are two rhythm tracks (Left and Right), two tracks I did the little harmonized runs on and one track for the solo. I punched the solo in the middle where the wah pedal kicks off. The whole thing took about 45 minutes.

It is amazing the tone this thing gets. I come down in the morning, turn my amp on, plug in and just smile.
:)

Jeff, you should be receiving a package from me tomorrow. ;) I'll email you about it.

Gain is only at 1 o'clock? :loco: That thing must have a shitload left in it! Excellent clip BTW, that's exactly what I've been wating to hear, the EG5 for gainheads. ;) BTW, greetings form your Ohio Valley neighbor! I'm in Pittsburgh at least twice a month.

Thanks. Yeah, it has a ridiculous amount of gain. I can't imagine it not having enough gain for anybody in any situation. If you get a chance, stop out to a show next time you are in Pittsburgh.

OH MAN!!!!!

This is giong to make everyone run out and get the EG5!!!!
Is it possible to wear out an MP3??? :rock:
Sweet playing and thanks for the clip!

Simply stellar tone and playing! You show exactly why I think the EG5 is the best since you capture its deadly rhythm tone, screaming lead tone, AND its volume rolled back cleaner sound. Awesome awesome awesome!

Holy crap Bill! That sounds freaking GREAT!!!

Good job on those tracks. Definately one of the best renditions of that song that I have ever heard.

Michael

Killer chops, killer tone... even the east german judge would say that one goes to 11.
