I have the Egnater 1x12 Renegade and looking for an extension cab. I seem to be pushing my 1x12 pretty hard at practice at about 75%. Why doesnt egnater make a 2x12 extension cab? I figured the 1x12 rebel extension wouldn't cut it for this amp.

I know they have the 2x12 renegade but cant afford it.

I have a marshall 2x12 but its black and would love to get an Eganter one to match so the 1x12 can sit on it.

any ideas?

Egnater makes a 2x12 cabinet under the tourmaster name...

The Egnater TM212 is one of the most versatile cabs I've ever used. It's quite large for a 2x12 and the Celestion Elite 80 speakers (like CL80s) have a fairly even frequency response - which are perfect for the Egnater modular amps (and other highly adjustable amps).

What these guys said. The TM212 is a great/versatile cab for a very reasonable price.

Bumping thread for one of the best cabinets around. I have used a lot of cabs from Boogie to Bogner to THD to Stone Age....the Eggie TM212 is right there with all of these! Removable center back panel, etc. What more can you want. Huge sounding cabinet, very resonant! As good as ANY I have played.

+1

What a great cabinet. My friend has a rebel and 2x12 and that thing sound amazing with his strat. He let me borrow the cabinet for a day to compare it to my CAA 2x12 (which has v30s, and the TM has CL80s), and if I had to do it all over again hands down I would have bought the TM 2x12 and saved the cash - they're that good. Hell, I still might get one of those cabs, they sound fricken great.

how much does the egnater 2x12 weigh? it looks nice but it looks heavy?

I don't have the weight on hand but it might be on the egnater site. Either way, it doesn't weight nearly as much as it looks. The casters are useful, and it is easily lifted with someone else on the other end, or even by yourself. I actually remember being pleasantly surprised by that.

thanks I checked the site, no weight there. I didn't know it comes with casters, great! I downsized to a THD last year (bad back) Have to check one out at GC.

If you have a bad back then maybe by yourself may be more of an issue, if anything just due to the fact that it's large maybe mroe so than the absolute weight, but again it's very easy to carry with a friend. From what I remember, I think i'd be comfortable asking just about anyone with a hand with that on/off stage if needed. I wouldn't feel the same way about a 4x12, for example.

I have a TM212 with Celestion G12-65 speakers and am unsure this is the set up for me. I am wondering if the G1265s are too dark or dull!? Was liking it last night at practice but not amazed, LOL.
The cab might need more teeth or maybe it needs to be closed but then I lose the big spread.

I am using the semi open back. Maybe I should try closing it up. Maybe I should try mixing speakers.

Do you know what speaker pairs work in this cabinet? Was thinking the following...

G1265/V30
T75/V30
CL80/V30
WGS Vet30/ET65

For a V30 I was thinking the Mesa Boogie modded V30 because it is warmer. For the CL-80 I could use an Elite 80 or one of my THD CL80 Longhorn speakers since they are like well broken in CL-80s.

Thanks!

once you break those cl80's in, and they lose some of the top end bite, they're a really great sounding speaker. i love mine.

holy crap, not minE!!!

icepicky!!! couldn't stand them til they broke in!.

now..mmmmmmmmm

Just played a Renegade and a TM212 this weekend and that is a fantastic rig. Everything is just right in that set up and it would be hard to go wrong with it.

Check what Bogner says about them on their site. They don't recommend them with Bogner amps because they are too dark unless you mix them with other speakers. My darkest cabinet is the one with my well broken in CL-80s. Dark and smooth.

i looked. i couldn't find it. do you have a link?

i won't argue your personal experience, but mine has been that any amp i put through them seemed pretty pointy off the bat. they mix good, none-the-less with the current speakers and cabs i have, so it's not really a big deal. but, of the speakers i do have, they're DEF the brightest.

also, though, like i mentioned, once broken in, i find them to sound most excellent...and yes, a lil' darker, but still clear and bright. which, like i said,i love.

I was thinking about one of these to pair up with my Marshall JVM210H. Think it would be a good match?
