How are the Egnater 4x12 cabs? I'm just looking at getting a new 4x12, my Soldano is a great cab, but just like everyone else here, i've gotta try everything!! While I was browsing, looking at cabs, I seen the Egnaters, and noticed how cheap they are. I assume this probably has nothing to do with their quality, but just wondering, how are they?

Best 4x12 cab I have owned....:) But I'm biased...I own all Egnater cabinets :)

Haha, well I assumed this would be a biased place to ask, but I know i'll get proper answers also. Would you say it is equally as good as other high end cabinets like Orange, Bogner, Mills, Diezel, Vht, etc..
Does it have a good "spread" and is it a big, thick sounding cab?
I assume build quality is top notch?

I think with the right speakers it sounds awesome! V30s aren't the right speaker for me though. I have to say Mills and such are a bit better...but the cost difference doesn't justify it. You can get amazing tones with this cab for sure.

Where you based out of? I am planning on selling my 2 4x12s - one marshall, one egnater...(just don't play them as much as I do my 2x12s)... I'll make you a killer deal for sure ;)

I think a good testament to how good the Tourmaster series cabs are, is the fact that Bruce and Jeff basically don't even bother offering "custom shop" series 412s or 212s anymore.

Even people who own the M4 and Mod50, the US Custom Shop stuff, they just tell them to get the TM4x12s. They have good ears. So that definitely says alot.

I've played the 4x12s at NAMM. They're real voidless, thick birch plywood, same nice tolex covering, and real celestions. Meaning: they sound awesome.

*I believe the US "custom shop" cabs are still available, but on special order only, right Jeff?

I just want to add, just because something is high end doesn't mean it's going to have a good spread or sound big and thick. Example: Diezel front loaded 4x12. So stiff and directional, and thin too. Hated the sound of it.

Yeah man...they are always available since they have Mojo make them. That's what I had done w/ my custom made 1x12s. They look exactly like the ones that Jeff / Bruce would order. So you could do either...have Mojo make them (so they are american made)...or just buy a TM 212 or 412.

I really really really like my Egnater TM212s and 4x12s. I just don't use the 4x12s much anymore...the TM212s do it for me. Plus I don't need 5-6 cabinets. I'm gonna stick w/ 1 1x12...1 4x10...and 2 2x12s. That's plenty for me ;)

I agree w/ Gene here. I think the TM412s are as good as any other there. I know Mills makes great stuff...so they might be a bit better...but again..not for the price you're gonna pay in a premium for them.

You're right! I didn't really mean to say that everything that costs top dollar is going to be better, but a lot of the time, you do get what you pay for (with certain companies at least!)

I actually live in Eastern Canada
I wouldn't mind paying shipping if it wasn't all that much, or maybe you could consider selling unloaded?
Which Marshall cab is it that you're selling?

I have 2 4x12 cabinets up for sale. A Marshall Mode 4 oversized cabinet, and a Egnater TM412 cabinet. I'd be willing to ship them / sell both of them unloaded. I recommend 2 K100s and 2 CL80s (or T75s) in there...Or 2 CL80s and 2 T75s.... All great combinations :)

With Egnater I believe you get MORE than what you pay for. :D

Gotta ask an OT speaker question!

The Marshall Mode 4 cabs supposedly have "tweaked" V30's in them. How do you like those compared to standard V30's and WGS Veteran 30's?

I think standard V30s sound better IMHO. I had the 280 watt mode 4 w/ the "tweaked v30s" and they got ripped out quickly. I put T75s in there instead for a year or two. Then I stumbled up a 400 watt Mode 4 cab...that had K100s..

Well...all I have to say...is my T75s sound wimpy compared to the mighty K100. The mode 4 cab with other speakers sounds awesome!!! I just don't need 2 4x12 cabinets honestly. I am for sure selling my Egnater 4x12.... If I can not get a decent price out of my Eggie 4x12...I'll just get 4 K100s to put in there...and just end up keeping it honestly.

But I'm hoping I don't have to do that. My TM212s are just so damn good, I really don't feel the need to keep either 4x12. And I also have a Eggie 4x10 coming...whenever they are shipped to Musicians Friend. I have one pre-ordered. That I WILL keep for sure. I miss my old 4x10 marshall cabinet I had. I can get "4x12" tone out of my 2 TM 212s.
