So we've seen the Renegade in a 4x10 combo. Any plans for a 4x10 open back extension cab? I'd also be interested in a 2x15 or 2x12/1x15. I love my Sunn's but I wouldn't tour with them. Anyone else have any interest in these or other exotic cabs?

I am almost obsessed with the new 4x10. Has the removable back like the 2x12. It sounds so good. No plans on 15 cabinet although I think its the perfect speaker for guitar.

+1 4x10's removable back

also, Egnater has got to get into the greenback territory.

I am gonna be hated for this but...greenback only sound good if used with low gain. The speaker is breaking up to add the grit or gain to a lower gain module. Once you put it with high gain and play at higher volume they sound like poo.

I agree. :) Or if you have like 8 greenbacks...and they aren't getting pushed hard :)

I prefer CL80s or T75s for higher gain stuff. Better headroom!

OH..... sooo ......... I didnt know that Egnater was an ALL HIGH GAIN company ;) (though I dont play much high gain music I do drool and smile half crooked when I CRANK up into High Gain territory)

Its all Egnater,s fault anyway that I like that DARN..............sweet......delicious.........tone dripping.............yet rockin and aggresive VOX MODULE and that of course turned me on to the other white meat. Those Vox amps.

Seriously though that's good info for me.

Also, throughout the years, I always thought that recorded electric guitars were much more distorted than they actually were. I have a feeling that alot of players thought that until they learned otherwise. Like I did, because of all my Egnater adventures.

As always a big thanks to Bruce, Jeff, Terry, Frank for all the Joy they been servin up, in God's house and around the world
:)

What speakers are in the 4x10?

Pretty sure they're Celestion Vintage 10's from what I remember from the NAMM vid. My buddy keeps prodding me to get some Eggie cabs. This news is certainly pulling me in that direction.

I don't know what gain is considered high, but I have an avatar loaded with greenies with the VX and SL2 modules. I absolutely love the way the greenies sound. My highest gain is about noon on channel A of SL2. It gets me amazing marshally crunch. this is at LOUD volumes too.

Eminence Green Barret and GB series are great Green Back derivative speakers with higher wattage rating and no fartyness or flubbing out.
