Egnater ie4 Preamp Footswitch Not Working

I have an original ie4 that I finally decided to try and get the original footswitch working. The preamp itself works perfectly fine, but the footswitch never has. I took it to my tech, but he does not want to poke around since there are chips in it and he does not want to mess around without having schematics.

I figure this would be a good place to ask to see if anyone has either an idea on the issue or schematics.
 
I did message him but have not received any response, which after reading some threads around here seems to be par for the course.

Anyone have anything on these preamps?
