I just recently purchased a M4 preamp and need something to change all channels. I tried my ADA MPC foot controller but it would not work. I need something that will not need a wallwart to power foot controller. Is there something out there that the m4 will supply power to and change channels???? Thanks, Paul

Egnater will most likely release an 8 button footswitch at NAMM in a couple of weeks according to the rumors on this forum. However, if you're planning on using other Midi controlled stuff I'd have a look at the VoodooLab Ground Control Pro. After all it was Digital Music Corp that designed the Midi switching of the M4... ;)

You could probably use most any Midi controller, but those two would be my first choices.

Good luck!

I had the same problem. The MPC draws more than 1 amp, that's why the M4 can't phantom power it.

However, the ADA MC-1 controller works fine!

The Rocktron Midi Mate is a good alternative at $199. It does multiple program changes per channel. It's not as versatile as the Voodoo - but it's a lot cheaper.

The Rolls MidiBuddy is a great deal at ~ $100 but only does a single program change per channel. It would be good to simply control M4 channel switching but that's about it.

Voodoo Labs Ground Control Pro is a great option. Pretty well an industry standard... Had mine for 6-7 years now...no problems whatsoever! :)
