Egnater Pre-Amp Tube Question

About one year into heavy gigging with my Renegade it was time to change power tubes. At the same time I also decided to get a new set of pre's as well, a set recommended by Doug's Tubes. After I removed the stock Egnater 12ax7's I noticed some have color coded dots on them. Green and orange if I recall correctly? Does anyone know if this is a gain rating they use? Just curious since I didn't notice until awhile after I removed them so have no idea what positions they were in!

Nah, just put them in and don't sweat it. You can swap around V1 for fun as that will have the most impact.

Not sure about the color coding at all. Just swap 'em out and go.
