I posted these in one of my other threads. But I figured the little vids deserve their own thread. After all, I spent the better part of my Saturday making them!

Without further ado... I give you... "2 Rebels on one Cab" Enjoy!

Hey Danny, You should also put the camera on a tripod or keep it in one location. There is some phasing that happens when the person with the camera moves around. I love the sound/tone!!!

Yeah, I noticed the phasing differences. Most of the stuff was shot with the cam on a tripod. But the sections that has the camera moving around were shot by my wife. She's the artistic type and likes to play with different angles. Originally, I was going to record the audio with an SM57 and then mix it with the video. By that ended up not being so.

Thanks for watching. -D

Cool rig! The sound issues are not so much phasing, well they are, but what is happening is comb filtering, since both speakers are in the same acoustic space, i.e. cabinet.

Comb filtering! Sounds like it belongs in a Moogerfooger. Or maybe, I did see it on one of those. I could easily look it up. But... for the benefit of everyone else...

Could you please elaborate?

Comb filtering is what happens when two signal out of phase with each other cause cancelation of certain frequencies, resulting in some weird tones. Kind of like an eq with some of the sliders pulled all the way down, but some spiked all the way up.

A more technical explaination: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comb_filter

Sounds great man, great tones!!!

I finally got it.

"2 Rebels 1 Cab"...

was that a play on "2 Girls 1 Cup?"

If so... that's brilliant.

Haha! To be honest, the title came first. The after thoughts about the title came a little later!

And the difference is that this video is ENJOYABLE to watch!

Hey guys, I posted another video last night. I had filmed this one the same day I created the first two, but didn't have the time to edit it. So here it is... It's based on 2 solo excerpts. That way you can see the quality of the sound in a soloing situation.
