I've owned the Rebel 20 head for about a year & just got my Rebel 30 head a few days ago. For anybody who's owned or played both, I'm hoping you can help me.

On my Rebel 20, w/ the master volume at a decent level, I can hear a significant difference in compression/volume when adjusting the "Watts" knob, especially going from 1w all the way to 20w.

On my Rebel 30, again w/ the volume up loud, adjusting the watts doesn't seem to be doing much at all. I don't hear any change in compression or volume. This is the case for both channels.

Has anyone else noticed this w/ the R30? Are the wattage controls supposed to be more subtle or could there be something wrong w/ my new head?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

All set now. I went back to GC & tried another Rebel 30 head. The variable wattage controls were definitely not working in the 1st head I bought. Did an exchange & the new head is great. :D

cool, thats stinks that they weren't working, but glad you got it all squared away.

I've never noticed a real difference in volume on my wattage controls. Hope it's not a defect, but it really doesn't matter, because I leave it cranked all the time anyway
