Hey gents,

Due to shoulder and back issues I have decided to downsize some to a smaller rig. I am either grabbing the R30 or Tweaker and am looking for a very easy effects rig without having to bring my heavy, fully powered pedalboard rig. Does anyone use or has tried the TC Nova System with the Rebel?

Since the unit has a tuner, noise suppressor, EQ, Mods, delays, verbs, compressor, etc....I am thinking I could run this in the loop with a wah up front and be done!

I was even thinking of skipping the loop and going old school but not sure how I'd like delay there. Unfortunately that is the only thing I really need for the loop or I could skip the loop and save on extra cable runs.

I doubt I would need a boost pedal up front...they have enough gain, but I could always grab my BB.

I've used it with a Rebel and it sounded great. I really like these units because of the their portability and they sound great.

Sounds like you understand the Nova System pretty well, but be aware of two things: 1) this is not a modeling unit, it is an effects unit. 2) if you use it in the loop as you suggest, the drive section is bypassed.

Shop around before you purchase and you can find some great deals on these units.

Thanks man....I only want it for EQ, Compression, Tuner, Noise Supressor, Volume boost, Modulation, Delay and Reverb. I find the Rebel 30 has enough gain for rock and hard rock.

I am hoping I can use the Rebel 30, two small 112s, the TC Nova and a wah. That's it! This would my small, corner bar rig.

So are you using 2 rebel 30's with the Nova system? if so how are you connecting and how does it sound?

Been thinking of this set up myself, my G System is way too much for my needs now.

How doe sit sound in the front of the amp ? just if i wanted to use some extra gain etc ? or would i be better off sticking it in the loop and getting an overdrive for some extra hair ??
