What do you guys think of these two amps (heads more specifically)?

Egnater Rebel 30
Blackstar HT 20

Give me your opinions on which is better and the pros and cons of each because Im planning on selling or trading my Vox Ac15c1 for one of these AND ANY PEOPLE WHO OWNS THESE TWO AMPS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME FOR A TRADE OR SELL!!!

I gravitate to the Rebel. I just like the sound and feel of the gain on the Rebel. I dont like the Blackstar sound.
Just my opinion and may not be the same experience as yours. Play them both if you can.

In my opinion, the rebel is much more versatile and has a brilliant sound from both channels. In addition to the mix between the various tubes are great and useful tool.

I had, had the Reb30 for about 10 months. Happened to stop by the local GC and they had an HT-5 on the floor. Checked it out. I was impressed. Big narly sound. But I wanted THAT sound in something with a bit more ass behind it. So I ordered the HT-20 head. Ran it through a 1x12 with a 70/80, a 1x12 with a Man O War, and 2x12 with Vin30s. It was about an hour before I had it packed up and ready to return ship.

Sterile, plastic-iky, more of a transitor feel-sound-response. Hard for me to explain really, but when my wife pipes up and says that it didn't really sound good thats usually a good que. Even though the Reb30s' channel 2 is dark, when I play single coils there is still chime on the top. No so with the HT-20. And the HT-20's clean channel is just okay, where the Reb30 is to die for. HT-20.....just not enough there to justify the expense.

Surprised the crap out of me cause the HT-5 was a whole different vibe.

I agree with the above thoughts too. The Rebel 30 sounds really organic compared to the Blackstar. I can't quite make up my mind about Blackstars. They are good, but at times sound solid state I feel. A friend brought the HT-Stage 100 round and plugged it in right after my Renegade. It sounded as though some of the tones were digital. Just my initial thoughts. The Renegade sounded far more natural.

I will say the Blackstar Artisan 30 has amazing tones but you have to crank that something terrible to get decent distortion and it still lacked a lot of gain - more of a classic amp tht one. The whole shop was shaking with the volume I had it at.

The Rebel 30 is a great amp though. The clean channel is incredible on it! Sadly my clean channel hissed slightly, which I was told was a common and normal thing, but I think they've fixed it now. Rebel 30 is awesome!
