Hello - I've got a couple quick questions for you guys...I'm new here, so sorry if it has been asked before :-)

1. At a gig last summer, we had some bad power and the EL34 side of my Renegade now has VERY faint output. The 6L6 side works/worked fine, so I've just been dealing with it until I can get it serviced as this my main rig. I've replaced all power & preamp tubes, but still have the issue. Are there any troubleshooting tips you suggest before I take it in for service?

2. At a gig this past weekend, I lost all power to the amp...wouldn't even turn on. I narrowed it down to the power fuse and replaced it with a spare fuse I carry (verified that it was the correct value), but it blows the fuse whenever I power on the amp. Any idea what would be causing this?

Thanks for your help!!

Mitch

I've heard if output tubes blow in a certain way they can take out the screen grid resistors as well. May want to check those.

I had this exact thing happen to me recently. It also blew with all the power tubes removed. Turned out to be a blown Power Transformer. Luckily mine was under warranty still and got it repaired.
