Egnater Renegade high pitched sound

I use 2 Renegade heads in stereo with a Line 6 DL6 delay unit. I have been having problems with a high pitched squeal with one of the heads. I put all new pre amp tubes and it still did it. I swapped the power tubes from my other head with no cure. It sounds like a faint high pitched feed back but doesn't change in volume. I turned it to stand by and later turned it back on and it worked fine. I stack the heads on top of each other and run them at 16 ohms into a 2 x 12 tourmaster cab. Does anyone have any ideas of the cause of this problem? The used head I bought doesn't have the covers around the 12ax7 tubes. Could this cause a problem?

Have you tried the amp by itself, and with only a guitar and no Line 6, with the other amp completely disconnected? Try this to see if you have the noise with the one amp by itself, and not because of the effect or maybe a ground loop.

If you have no noise with the amp by itself, then when using both amps, swap the L and R from Line 6 to each amp, just to see if the noise changes to the other amp.
