Two day amp building seminar
May 19/20 2007

Have you ever thought about how cool it would be to work on or even build your own amp? Where do you begin? How do you find good information? We are offering you a unique opportunity to learn about and actually build your own amp at one of our Two day amp building seminars. The classes are held at Egnater World Headquarters in beautiful Berkley, Michigan located just North of Detroit (Rock City).

Here’s how it works. When you sign up for the class, you are also purchasing a custom amplifier kit. The finished amp (that you build) is a superb sounding, hand wired Marshall JCM “styleâ€

This is a fantastic seminar. I went to the one last weekend and was blown away by how much I was able to learn and do in such a short time. Bruce is a great teacher and makes the experience fun. Bruce, Terri and Frank are excellent hosts. You will not regret it if you go. For those who think it's too far, I drove 8 hours from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. If I had the extra cash I'd be doing it again!
Here's a video clip of the amp I built...it's an amazing sounding head. I've already done my first mod...adding a "Depth" control which gives even more bottom end! I could only change tubes before last weekend, now I find myself reading schematics!!

Wish I lived a bit closer. That sounds like it would be fun as hell. Cool to see something like this offered.

DUDE!

Holy crap that sounds incredible! Good job, man! Love that British tone! How loud was that? Does the amp have a loop? Are you going to keep going with building more amps? What other mods do you have planned?

Really impressive. I dig your playing too, man. Honest to God that sounded better than every amp I played yesterday at Sam Ash!

Your avatar rules! You know why....cuz as i was surfing rigtalk, i was also listening to "Darkness that Embrace me" off of Damned in Black. Awesome!

That amp sounds killer! That seminar sounds like a total dream weekend. If I wasn't a broke college student I would totally be there, no question.

Glad you liked it! It doesn't have an FX loop ..yet. Bruce gave us a schematic to build one, plus he's working on a ser/par switchable loop for the amp. That will definitely be my next mod. The amp sounds so good the way it is I will probably play with it for a while before modding too much more(except for the loop).
I think it sounds better than any stock head I've tried in any music store...lol.

Actually I saw this photo album, and checked out some threads at Huge Racks Inc as I was so impressed with your amp. I emailed Mr Egnator for info.

Great job, your amp sounds killer.

Thanks Mega...I hope you can go, it is so cool!!

Bruce,

What a great idea this seminar is. Giving back to the enthusiasts in this manner is most commendable IMHO.

I hope to attend in the near future if I can find the time (and the money :)).

Just out of curiousity, what is the circuit? Are the kits available without the seminar?

I wish I knew you (and several other companies) were in Michigan when I lived there - I would have been checking out a LOT more gear - but then again, when I lived there I was a drummer - lol...

I never really thought about how many companies are/were in Michigan.

Egnater (amps)
Naylor (amps)
Reverend (guitars)
West (amps/Grand Funk Railroad days)
Blitz (amps)
Guytron (amps)
Rocktron
GHS
Heyboer (make great transformers)

still thinkin'.......
