I was playing at 120 watts, and there was a noticible tone drop.. maybe even a bit of a volume drop. im not sure, as we were playing with a whole band.. however there was a notice in the way it sounded..

After inspecting the amp i realized that it will now only work on the 120 watt side.

if I throw the selector switch to 60 there is nothing.. no speaker hiss, no output at all. It sounds the same as it does on standby.

what could this be?
is it something that I could fix?

we have a show on may 16th with Iced Earth and i REALLY need my amp operable!

thanks for any help or insight!

It could be a pair of power tubes most amps with power scaling will switch between two or four tubes when scaling down it may only be using one pair of good tubes when your in 120 watt mode. If this is the case I doubt it will work much longer like that. My local amp guru told me once that he sees a lot of Egnaters in his shop he thinks they have great Ideas but sometimes they skimp on the quality of switches and jacks to hit a certain price point maybe something is up with the switch? Not knocking your amp or anything thats not my intention good luck man

so first step is to try replacing power tubes you think?

all tubes are glowing.. but I know that could still be the case..
