I have finally found my set up...for now :D

Jet city 2x12 Cabinet
Egnator 15w Tweaker
Fender Toronado Deluxe
Mesa V twin pre amp rack

Now my question is this. I play a lot of instrumental rock...Pelican, Russian circles Thursday type stuff, but I'm looking for a smaller set up that will be loud enough to play with a full band at 100-200 person venues. I really want the Tweaker to be loud enough for this. The other guitarist in my band plays a mesa road king with a Orange 2x12 and I want to make sure I can keep up with him and our drummer. Would a boost pedal help?

Will this be enough volume? 15 watts?

I also have a mesa vtwin pre-amp rack I'm hoping I can run through the power section of the Egnator 15watt so I dont need a to buy a formal power amp....or maybe go with the 44 caliber magnum for the mesa?

Please help a unknowing musician out!

You could always get a second Tweaker to run stereo or wet/dry, or you could get a Tweaker 40 for the gigs, use the Tweaker 15 at home.

15W is plenty loud, I'm sure it can make you heard, but in terms of low end punch and overall smack in the chest it will not compete with a Road King that can deliver 120W.

What you could do and try is some bigger bottle tubes in your 15, like 6L6, EL34 or KT88, they will probably give you more clean power.

It really depends on how loud and clean you need to stay. You can get quite a bit of volume from 15 watts, but you will obviously not get a ton of clean headroom. With what you're playing, it's going to be something you will have to experiment with honestly. If you need lots of loud clean ambient sounds, you might run into a little trouble, but if you're doing the heavier rock stuff, then it could work just fine for you. I'm assuming you are usually not mic'd, since you're asking this question though, right?

ya, not going to be mic'd. I'm really going back fourth right now between the tweaker and tiny terror!...ugh Im on a budget and also have mesa vtwin preamp rack that will most likely be around $100 to get all the knobs and little things fixed on it. Also need to buy a power amp for it.

What should I do?
