Hello everyone!

I'm considering getting a Diezel Einstein and I'm liking what I'm hearing on the sound clips and stuff.

The band setting I play in pretty much requires me to keep CH. 1 dedicated for clean tone 95 % of the time, so I can't probably use mode 3 on it too often for rhythm tones. Is it possible to get channel 2 to sound anything like a nice 80's hard rock rhythm sound (extreme, skid row mötley crue etc - marshall on steroids! type of sound) or will it be way too compressed/muffled and over-the-top gainy ?

I tried to look for clips with people using Ch. 2 for rhythms but all I could find was that dude on youtube playing his 8-string guitar with gain prolly maxed :D

Any input would be appreciated =)

No problem, just use your volume pot and / or both master volumes.

Hi,

well, for me channel two works fine for heavy rhythm works. But you have to be careful with the gain-knob and maybe you have to change the the preamp-tube in v2 to your liking.

But it is not a Marshall - it it is darker voiced and more modern sounding. You should try to play it yourself, before you decide.

You can absolutely use Ch2 for the rhythm work, I play lots of that kind of music on mine quite happily.

I find that ch2 is more mid focussed and not a present as ch1 mode3 along with sounding much more saturated.

My setting for Extreme stuff is Deep 12:30, Presence 13:00-13:30(adjust to how present you like the sound) Bass 13:00 Mid just under 12:00 treble 14:30 -15:00. Gain I have anywhere between 11:30 and 14:00 depending on how much saturation I want.

I guess if the highs dont cut it for you a nice EQ would sort things, Iv experimented with my G-majors Parametric EQ but I feel a nice 10 band EQ would be ideal for me as it would give me more control over the low mids and highs which are the parts I usually feel compelled to tweak!

Same as the above poster, I also use CH 2 as my main rhythm channel. I like it better than mode 3 on CH 1. I keep the gain well under 12 because I feel it keeps the sound more "open" and articulate; less saturated.

But, like the man said: trie before you buy! I used to own a Marshall DSL 100; only 2 channels. I use my Einstein the same way.

   There is nothing that the Einstein cannot do.
All you need is your imagination.

^ heeheehee

Mode 3 for everything... plus volume control... (ok I use 22k BKP Warpigs so the variation you can get by using the volume is impressive)
