hey y'all ,
can anybody walk me through the functions of each preamp tube in the einstein and tell me in what order they work on each specific channel/mode?
what i'd really like to know specifically is could i change a tube or two to make channel 2 sound like mode 2 on channel 1 ?
so essentially channel 2 would be a clone of channel 1/mode 2 , but with a little more gain .

Impossible . . .

The tubelayout can be found on the official site, go "tech", bottom of the page.

thanks -
how about replacing V2 with a different tube - i'd like less gain and (a lot) less middle .
any recommendations ?

Turn the gain down, and roll off the mids. I can get a really good bluesy lead tone from Channel 2 if I turn the gain down and EQ and little different.
