Einstein channel 2

Hi,
To my ears, the mode 3 (mega) of channel 1, seems too similar to channel 2 (lead). I would like to change some préamp tubes to have a more agressive sound on channel 2. Palm-mutes more reactives, with easy pinched harmonics. Which tube can I try ? Is a Tung Sol gold on V2 a good choise ?

John and his brother told me that the sound of channel 1 mode 3
and channel 2 is not similar because it´s a complete different
circuit with separate eq.

Please try a EI 12AX7/ECC83 in V2.

Both are definitely different. Mega has less gain and compression than the lead sound.

If it should sound more agressive I'd crank the gain and mids a bit.

That wasn't exactly what I want to say...
In fact, channel 1 mode 3 and channel 2 is not similar but not so différent with the same EQ. Mode 3 has almost as much gain than channel 2.
Mode 3 seems more open, whereas channel 2 sounds darker and a bit more compressed.
Changing the EQ on both channel increase the différence, that's sure.
I will try an other tube on V2. I only tried an EH, and didn't really like it.

I have a tung sol gold in V2 in my Einstein, and I really like it. It sounds a little less compressed and a bit more open, and a bit brighter. It still is very smooth and liquidy feeling.
