Einstein combo compensated out issue

Hi there,
I've been enjoying my Einstein combo for the past few months and decided to use the compensated out to run the amp into a mixer and DAW for some simple recording. However, I can't get the compensated out to work; there is simply no signal no matter what I do. I'm connecting the Einstein to the mixer by running a guitar cable from the compensated out to the line input of a mixer channel. I've tried numerous cables and confirmed that the mixer input works with other instruments and amps but I still hear nothing from the Einstein. I've tried adjusting the master and channel volumes on the Einstein and still nothing. It seems the compensated out itself is the only remaining possible source of the problem. BTW, the amp works fine and sounds great through the speaker.

I have a TC Electronics G-Major in the serial effects loop (the problem persists even if I take the unit out of the loop). Other than that I'm just running guitar into Einstein. Is there anything I can do about this? What more can I check? As a follow-up: where does the compensated out sit in the signal path? Is is pre/post effects loop? Power amp?

Thanks in advance.
