Hi all, new Diezel noob here.

I have a pre-owned Einstein combo with V30 speaker. It seems that Einstein has k100 speaker nowadays.

What is the difference in sound between these two in Einstein combo?

I'm wondering should I change V30 to k100, I feel that my Einstein sound is missing some high end.
I am looking for heavy tone and liquid lead tone. I like 80's hard rock, thrash-,speed-, death-, prog- and melodicmetal.
Bands and artists im my taste are for example Dream Theater, Megadeth, Wintersun, Pantera, Ozzy, Ratt, Steve Vai etc...

The k100 has more bite on the high end and tight bass. It's an all around super tight speaker. It definitely will change the sound all around. You will lose some of the magic of the blues tones, and your crunch will be super tight. The distortion sounds will be much tighter as well. To be honest I love both on the Einstein depending on what tones I want. I think it would be beneficial to get a 1x12" external cabinet so you can switch or run both at the same time.

Best of luck.

Or maybe an 2x12 Front loaded closed back. You will hear great difference even if the cab is loaded with V30, but not for in-house applications.

I was thinking that if I had a band then I would run combo parallel with 2x12 cab. Now I'm playing only in home so I don't need extra cabinet there.

Would mix of k-100 and classic lead 80 sound good? I quess nobody has tried this... But I think that there would be then tight bottom and good mids and high end also... Maybe I have to try some day if I find band...
