Any difference between the various years of Einstein combos? The one I'm looking at is a 1x12 with 'verb, grey/salt-n-pepper grill, logo at the top of the grill.
As far as I know the earlier ones came with a v30 and a closed back (not completely closed but mostly - this is what I have) and the newer ones come with a g12k-100 and a much more open back design.
I owned a closed back one very briefly but it developed a fault and was returned to the store under warranty. Was bought used and I would say it was the stores fault, not the amps or manufacture. Speaker in closed back was a V30.
I currently own a G12-K100 open back. Not sure when the cabinet design changed. Mine is from March 2010.
The cabinet is I think a completely different design for each model. Not just a change in the rear panel and speaker.
The lower position logo indicates an early one and higher for later models it seems.
Ok, so the older ones had the centered logo and the more closed back with V30?
And the newer ones have a more open back, logo higher, and G12K?
Because the one I'm looking at is the closed back version, logo up top, and G12K... Which contradicts what y'all have said. Unless the owner changed the logo and speaker?
Looks like maybe the guy selling the combo I was gonna check out doesn't know what he's talking about. Is this an older one or a newer one? Add says G12K. But maybe the guy just copied and pasted the amp info without looking...
Yeah, the guy didn't know there was a difference and all that. He had just copied/pasted the amp info into his ad. So I'm still looking for a newer version. Sucks, too. The guy was only asking $1800.
