Hi,

I'm looking for a more punchier clean sound o my Einstein Combo (especially mode 1 & 2 in channel 1). It could be just a little bit fatter!! It works well at recording sessions, but live, it doesn't really cut through the mix. I'm using a Mahogany Telecaster with Humbucker and P90, and mainly Sennheiser e906 mic live!
Maybe some othe preamp tubes could help! or change power amp tubes??

would be glad, if anyone could help me! thank you

You could try a Svetlana/SED 12AX7 in V1 and some 6L6GC tubes. That's what I run and the cleans are definitely better than with EL34s and stock preamp tubes.

thank you for your proposal. what effect does this have on channel 2?

I'd second the proposal above. 6L6's will be much fatter in the clean channel than EL34's. I'd go with the SED 6L6GC tubes. They are very bassy and thick sounding. Distortion is going to be a bit smoother than EL34's.

Thank you for your help. I just ordered a pair of SED 6l6GC and some svetlana preamp tubes. Let's see what they will bring!! I will give feedback as soon as they're "implantet" :D

By the way:
Reading my first post might make you think I'm not satisfied with my amp. Let me stress, that I love the EINSTEIN and that I'm really glad with it. I just wanted to optimize some sounds, just to make them fit more to my personal fondness.

So, thank you again for your help, and thank you Peter for making those wonderful amps!!!

Best regards,
