I just got my first Diezel. Its a 50w Einy. LOVE IT!!! I am having some problem with the footswitch. First the amp is new..... its was bought by a lawyer to learn how to play guitar.. so it wasnt used much... anyways, when i plug in the footswitch to the head the master#2 lights up then turns off then back on then back off and so forth... it happens when i hold the footswitch up and then put it back on the floor... its like rocking the footswitch back and forth turns the master#2 on and off... if that makes and since..

any ideas?

also the serial# is 002/004 when was it made? and was it the 4th one made?

what a great amp!

Thanks, Matt

Probably the cable is broken where the cable goes into the footswitch.

Solution: unsolder it (inside the footswitch) and either shorten it, resolder.

Or instead: install a jack to the footswitch and a plug to the other side of the cable, that should solve the probs for all time.

Yes, the 4th ever built it seems.

thanks so much. I will take it apart this weekend and have a look.

Thanks, Matt

If you can't get it fixed for some reason I have an extra Einstein footswitch that I'll let go.

matt, I have the same problem with my Einstein f/s. In my case, the Master 2 doesn't light up, even though the amp light indicates it's set to Master 2.
And at times, the f/s will flash as you've noted.

As Olaf has noted, it's the TRS jack on the f/s. The cable is broken probably near the jack (it is in my case). I confirmed this with Peter Stapher when I brought the f/s to the NAMM show.

Again as Olaf has noted, just cut off the plug, resolder and you're done! (i've been too lazy, but I know I need to do the same!)
mike.

thanks for all the help and advise.. i will take it apart this weekend and see if i can fix it... also this amp is a monster! lots of tones in it and its alot of fun to play
