He has finally arrived, my new einstein. It works fine so far (have a look at my other thread).

Before I could check him out I was little concernd if the einstein has enough gain.

Actually it has more gain than enough.

The strong point of the einstein is the lead channel as far as I´m concerned . It´s not a brutal or aggressive gain. Perfect for shredding flights. :)

Einstein's strong points are:

- its a Diezel
- has an awesome clean
- an awesome Texas mode
- an awesome mega-typical-Diezel-crunch
- an awesome lead.
- a perfect loop

;)

I should say the strongest point is it´s not a mesa.

Sorry, just kidding.

Olaf, you´re right.

Congrats on getting the amp, and welcome to bliss! :)

Indeed! I love the damn thing-if the modes on ch 1 were footswitchable, it would be beyond comparison. Well done Peter--I love this thing!!!!!!!

The aim was to design a two channel amp without midi.
If the modes were switchable the next question is to ask
for more gain knobs and volume knobs.
The problem is that the the modes never matches volume
with different guitars.
The modes are an option, not a mistake ;)

But thanks for the kind words :D

I am very happy with the amp Peter and no disresepect intended. I can do what I need to do with the amp, I just would think of it as my dream amp if I could footswitch. Between the amp and the volume knob on my guitar, the 2 channels work just fine. You did an amazing job.

I won't mention the mode switch anymore. :)

Now I am thinking about getting a Herbert or VH4; I want sounds similar to the Einstein, but with the flexibility of midi switching.

I don't have that problem. I have done the switching mod and whatever mod or guitar, my band mates always swear and shout at me to turn the damn thing down, so they seem to be pretty much alike :D

I played one the other day for afew hours, what a great amp.

Congrats on the Einstein. I run 2 6L6 and 2 EL34s in mine through 2 Marshall cabs. The only problem I have is that no other amp so far can compete with it and I end up returning them. I had 4 amps when I got Einy....Now I have only it. Once you have a top tier amp like Diezel, it's hard to go back to some of the others.
