Hi,
When I'm on modes 2 and 3 of channel 1, my brand new Einstein makes a loud crackling noise. This noise is very similar as when a pot is old and needs re-lubing.
I have swapped the 3 first preamp tubes (because at first I thought there could be a faulty tube). I have also lubed the gain pot of channel 1, because sometimes (not always) the crackling noise increases or decreases when I turn this pot up or down. I've noticed that this pot is not smooth to the touch at all, as with the rest of the pots. Anyway, the crackling noise continues after swapping tubes and lubing the pot.
Please note that this issue ONLY occurs with modes 2 and 3 of channel 1.
