OK, it´s done.
Yesterday after work I had to drive some hours with my car to trade my Einstein and my Randall for the Herbert.
After that I drove directly to our practice room.
After playing arround with the clean channel (about 5 min.) :D , I started to check what the head can do at the "important" channels...
I have to say that I´m some kind of speechless. Wow !!!
That Amp is no plug and play toy. You have so many sound options and can get so many tones, that I now understand, when people don´t like the Herbert, cause you can make it sound like many other amps (in a better way), but have to do some "work" for it. Playing at channel 2 with all that +/- , mid cut, eq-ing, volumes can give you tone heaven, but also could be frustrating for guys who just want play and don´t take the time to get some "understanding" for the amp.
I just take an hour break from work today to go to the practise room and play another hour and found some more giant settings, that I have to show my bros tommorrow at practise

Sorry for my bad english, but I hope I could explain you a little how I felt...

Cheers,
Sascha

...and no need for a BBE !!!
It made my Einstein a bit more metal, but no need here.
I didn´t thought one second the use it.
The sound of the herbi is so brutal-articulate-massive with so much more pressure, I hope my other guitar player with his powerball (I used to have one, too) will not run away and cry
Hey ! And no need for a noisegate !!! I heard of that, but never thought this could be real at highest gain

Ah mein neuer Papa !

Ja Peter, ich kann´s noch gar nicht richtig begreifen -lach-
Hab wirklich schon seeeehr viele Amps gespielt, was man halt so kennt...,
aber jetzt bin ich wo angekommen, wo es mal richtig geil zur Sache geht.
Ich liebe es aus dem Amp wansinns sounds zu kitzeln, total krass.
Bin voll happy !
Danke.

Liebe Grüße aus Stuttgart !

Sascha

Sweet!!!

Hey Dan !
NO BBE !!! ;)

Thanks bro !
Are you talking about the BBE Sonic Maximizer?

Did you use it with your old Einstein? I wouldn't of imagined it needed it.

Congratz on the new amp, man!

Thanks !
Yes, I used the sonic max with the Einstein.
Sure, you don´t "need" it, but you´re getting a much more brutal metal tone.
I used both knobs at 3/10, not to much that is important.
So I guess I´m more the Herbert-type :D
But I still love the Einstein and it´s lead sound !!! Super great amp.
I really think it´s hard to cover all the Einstein sounds with the Herbert, but we´ll see...

Cheers !!!

Now....you gotta get the VH4! :D

Like me.......I gotta grab a Herbert one day!

Dan

Yes, for sure and the Einy again...
But before this will happen I have to be sure that I can keep the Herbert. :gethim:
I´m very "out of money" at the moment.
And now I´m going to practice with my band :D

Have a nice one !

Cheers,

Sascha

I bought the BBE years ago for my old Line 6 Vetta II (which made it sound stunning), but ended up replacing the Line 6 with a Framus Dragon. When I then applied the pedal to the Dragon, it actually ruined the sound slightly. I suddenly then had no use for it.

I refused to sell it, hoping that it would work nicely with my Soldano Avenger - should be coming soon-ish - but lost a lot of faith in that idea when I heard a few bad things about the pedal failing to work with certain amps. But it's reassuring to know that they do indeed work with Diezel's as the Einstein is on my list of amps to definiltey get in the near future.

if you deface an Einy with a BBE I am coming to get you! :gethim:

I kid!

Einy IMO sounds worse with the BBE, though IMO all amps do.

:D

Try one with a Vetta II; it's awesome.

I'll probably end up selling it - that and a few shitty pedals I bought when I was a cheap n00b.
