okay y'all ,
got a new tube to put in V2 of my einstein , but have never replaced a preamp tube before .
is the procedure the same as with the power tubes ( less the biasing obviously ) ?

and presumably i go in from the back of the amp again ?

dont want to touch anything i shouldnt and fry myself ! ;)

Switch amp off, twist cylinder, pull tube, put new tube into socket, push cylinder back - enjoy.

No biasing needed for preamp toobes.

thanks for the info !!
put a mullard 12AT7 in V2 today and it sounds incredible !!
its actually gone a long way to making it sound how i wanted - less gain , smoother and less middle .
:D
