Are einstein's 1. ch 3 modes switchable via midi?

I can get Engl Z15 footswitch which has 4 relays for switching amp ch. Can I control einstein with it?

No, you have to do a modification on the amp. Search function = your friend. ;)

No. You have to have moded..

what that means now?

do I need to mod it or what?

yess you do need to mod it but t wont be midi. there's info on the message board on how to
do it

Sorry. I should have been a little more clear. You can get a mode done that will change the modes on channel by a foot switch but that will not make it midi swichable. ;)

I don't know about a link but it has been posted here many times. Just keep scrolling back and you will find it, it may take some time but it is there.... ;)

the mod by itself won't make it midi switchable, but once the amp is modded, you can make it midi switchable. Jut need to buy a few extra parts, like a looper or use an FX processor like the Gmajor etc etc

ask Olaf (duesentrieb) he know his way around this.

I did the modification - it was pretty easy (got the parts from Düsentrieb).
After using the pedal for switching, I switched the modes in Channel 1 with a G-Major and switched the Channels and Master 2 with a Rocktron Replifexifex via midi.
Now I sold the G-Major and use a Loop Jack (which has got a switching function). An inexpensive switcher is Nobels MS4 (I think it was the name), but with that you nee two y-cables I think.

can you explain to me in a few words how I connect that little thing to einstein?

P.S. I know i must be boring with all that questions but I haven't work with any of those things

Well, Duesentrieb is the guy who could explain things far better, but he is on holiday now.

I think, the Gizmo can switch one function only with one switch. So you have to have an insert cable (y-cable), which goes stereo to your jack, where you plug in your original Diezel footswitch (it is stereo!!!). The other two plugs of the y-cable you have to plug into two switches of the gizmo.

When you want to change modes of channel 1, you have to do the mod and after that you will have anothe stereo jack, which is connected to the manual switch on the front. You do just the same - an insert cable, which is stereo on one side and two monos on the other.

Nobels MS4 is much cheaper, when you fin one on ebay, and does the same.

Another possibility is (what I would recomend) - get two Rocktron Multivalves or Replifexes or G-Majors (or mix it). Each of them has a switch, with wich you could switch two functions. Just plug in one stereo cable to the footswitch jack of your Einstein and to the switch jack of the e.g. Replifex or G-Major and your done. It is much easier. But you need two devices, when you want to switch channels, master and the three mods.
But you have additional effects - and two used Multivalves (Raplifexes, G-Majors) are not that more expensive compared to that Gizmo.
My Einstein is fully midi-switchable that way.

Good luck!

tnx for the reply! ;)

well, i already have intellifex which is very good for me... I don't need anything else... so I'm looking for something small that can make channels midi swichable and can fit in 2 space rack with intellifex and korg tuner... gizmo is very close to that...
