Have an Einstein Serial # 002/044. I know they were introduced in 2005. Does this mean the 2nd production year 44th amp.

Either way this is the best amp I have ever heard.

002 means Einstein 100 head.
001 = Herbert
003 = Einstein 50 Watts (or combo).
I don't reember exactly.

Peter?

I have a 100 watt Einstein and the serial starts with 003.

Well I know I own a 50 watt head and the numbers are 002/044. Peter can you help us out on this. Do I have a 100w chassis. Well I just pulled off the back plate and there is a spot although covered for 2 more el34's and one more spot for a pre-amp tube. Is the chassis wired for it or no. Lars built this on in particular.

I spoke to James in the UK about this, and he said that the 002 signified the 50W head. I only know as I bought mine ( # 192 ) a couple of weeks back and asked the same question :)

For 100 watts You need an other output transformer
and to add 2 tubes. Also LED and tube fuse.
