So I've had the Shiva for a few weeks now & having used it live five or six times have come to this conclusion..........

Though the Shiva is an awesome amp, the Lead channel just does not even come close to the Einy Ch 2. Even with boost pedal's.....
I love the clean channel of the Shiva & I love the classic crunch of the gain channel, however have been left wanting for my Einstein when it comes time to solo. I run my Einstein on Mode 3 and use my guitar volume knob to clean things up when needed & that along with the incredible Ch 2 for leads seems to cover all the bases I need in a live rig.

It would be awesome to take both rigs to the gigs & run an A/B, however it's not really practical for me & I don't really wanna haul that much shit around anymore!

I think the Shiva is a wonderful piece of equipment & I really like it, however, I gotta throw props once again to Peter & crew for producing such an awesome amplifier in the Einstein!

I know this is all subjective, I just figured I'd throw my .02 of IMHO into the ring........................ :)

That's great to hear, the Shiva was my second choice but after hearing and owning the
Einster for the last 3 weeks nothing touches it tone wise. I like all the channels, I never get bored with this amp and that says allot considering I have this ADD thing with amps.
When I paired it up with a Bogner OS 2X12 it just sealed the deal for me. Fuck I don't even browse the for amp sale sections in the forums anymore because I'm so content.
I did really like the reverb on the Shiva but I'm running a Lexicon through my loop so that takes care of that.

The Shiva is a great amp as the whole Bogner line.
You can simply trust in Reinholds ears.

The Shiva is very nice indeed. Cleans are awesome, crunch and boost are so so IMO.
What definitely turns me off is the loop design (older models?) and the fan, thats annoying as hell.

Definitely! No disrespect to Bogner intended at all, just my experience & my preferences.

Mine is the newer model without the fan & has the new "No Special Cable Needed" effects loop. Both channels kick ass! The Einstein just kick's a little more ass on channel two for "No Extra Pedal's Required" leads!

BTW, my Shiva is the 6L6 model & I think it stomps a mudhole in the EL34 version as far as versatility goes................IMHO :D

I have never played a Bogner as none were ever near where I live.
However, I totally trust in Peter's designs, ears, build quality, and everything else about Peter's company.
As a result, I have not bothered to worry about how other manufacturer's amps sound.
Yes, there are great amps out there, but when you get to a certain level, it becomes a matter of splitting hairs.
Since I have so few hairs left to split, I stay with what I know is the best amp I ever played through for any style of music to play. I hope that I should only be able to do justice to the wonderful amps of Diezel with always trying to play my very best.
Besides, playing Diezel amps has restored hair on my head!
