Ok so ive been gigging pretty regularly with my 5o watt einstein and she has been a friggin dream amp. so far the only issues ive had is one of the pretty blue leds on channel 2 is burned out , channel works fine . Friday night i was playing and after about 2 hours into the gig i noticed a pretty crappy hum coming from the amp is seemed way over the top . needless to say i got through the gig . then on sat at another gig i firer her up she was fine for about the entire 4 hr gig but towards the end of th gig i noticed it again turnrd the amp off for a second and refired it she seemed to get better.

Anyone got any ideas as to what this could be
ive heard that some of the diezels had a bad run of filter caps ?????
could this be the issue

help if you can

how long have you had your amp? might be time for a tube change

that may be true but i was just wondering if it could be a tube problem, orginal power tubes. pre amps were just replaced although i didnt like the way it sounded so i put back the old rubys in v1 and v2. this very well could be the problem which is a simple fix i was just wondering if anyone thought it might be something else like the filter caps

i had some cap problems with my herbie a year ago but i didnt
have the same problems as you are having i would hear a pop
when i switched channels and almost like a sound that my speakers
were blown its probable most likely the V1 and V2 tubes or your
power tubes
