EL34s for a "97 XTC 101B

Mine seems to sound best with SVET's. Is there a rating for these (i.e. hard, med)? I remember buying from ARS years ago and they had some rating system for them. Or, are the Winged C's just a better version?
 
AFAIK there's no rating for =C='s. Just go for a matched quad, set Your bias to 30-32mA and You'll be set :)
 
DDay my 101B was made 9/9/97 , #362. Think it still has the original Svet winged C's.
 
=C= are great choice, for darker with more bottom I would try EL34BHT plus wayyyy cheaper. Then you could always go bigger and use KT77 gold lions....more 6L6 like

I went with a "burned-in" set of Winged "C"'s. Hopefully that, and proper biasing, will do the trick.
