Greetings :)
Apologies in advance for a long-winded post...

I'm looking for someone with an Eleven Rack that is willing to help me program some presets, or share ones they have that work well for live use. I play rhythm guitar in a cover band and need a core set of tones that I can add/subtract effects to as needed. I will be using the Eleven Rack through a Mesa Simul 2:90 and into a 4x12 cabinet, so I don't necessarily need the power amp or cabinet models active.

Here's what I'm thinking - suggestions about the approach are welcome:

(1) Clean - A "classic" clean that breaks up when pushed hard (Matchbox 20, Tesla Love Song, etc)
plus the ability to add reverb, delay, chorus and flange effects
plus the EQ "effect" that could be used for a boost, if possible

(2) Crunch - A nice all-around crunch setting for AC/DC and Zeppelin type grind
plus the ability to add reverb, delay, chorus and flange effects
plus the EQ "effect" that could be used for a boost, if possible

(3) Distortion - A distortion preset for things like Creed, STP, Velvet Revolver, etc.
plus the ability to add reverb, delay, chorus and flange effects
plus the EQ "effect" that could be used for a boost, if possible

(4) Lead - A preset that would work well as a lead sound for (2) and (3)

I asked a similar question several months ago and got a response from someone willing to help but lost track of them. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'm throwing it out there. I like the Eleven Rack and have been able to get it to work with some stock presets and ones I've found on the web. I just can't seem to get the right combination of what I want and I SUCK at tweaking modelers from scratch. Hoping to get real close to what I want and then just tweak to accommodate minor changes.

Once I get the core sounds, I can start working on programming the GCP to access them and switch the effects in/out.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

There's a ton for download at Elevenrackpresets.com. I think you need to register but it's free of course. There's also a forum there, so I'd repost this question there if I were you.

I don't use mine in a live scenario or with a power amp/cab so I doubt I'd be much help. But my advice in general would just be to turn off everything (including the cabs), pick an amp model and start from there, then add effects later.

You might try:

1. AC30, or Matchless
2. JTM45 (J45), or Plexi
3. Bogner Red/Blue, or Recto Vintage
4. Add a boost on top of 3, or maybe the Bogner Red with the gain kicked up.

Thanks for the response...
I've looked at the Eleven Rack Presets site but haven't found any group of presets that sound like they belong together. I can find one-off patches that are "OK", but switching between them makes the difference in tone very noticeable. It lacks continuity, if that makes any sense.

I've taken a stab at starting from scratch, but I suck at it. I know what I like when I hear it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get there. I don't want to give up, but I haven't played it live in quite a while because I got frustrated. My big-ass ($$$) rack rig sits idle - I need me some presets that work.

Post over there and post at the DUC too. You'll get some help. I'm not a fan of downloading presets personally in part because of what you mentioned...the lack of continuity...
