Eleven Rack Software Update Question

Greetings :)
Has anyone purchased and installed the update for the Eleven Rack? What I want to know is if the update is keyed or locked to an individual hardware device. I have two of them and would like to update them both - but would prefer not to purchase the update twice ;) Can I buy the update and then install it on both of the units? I use one in a live rack and the other in my recording desk and go back and forth between the two. I need for them to be the same...

I don't own one but I don't understand how the upgrade can be downloaded as MIDI information if these are real models which are separate and distinct from each other as opposed to just changing parameters of existing models...............
 
I have. You should ask over on the Digi user forum but my guess is that it will only install on one rack. It passes some serial/registration numbers back and forth, which is what leads me to that guess.

And to robert's question - it isn't MIDI data per se. It's a firmware update that you load to the unit via USB.

Even if you have to buy it twice, it's worth it, IMO...
 
the way I understand it the serial is locked to the same one hardware...but I might be wrong.
 
I've been out of pocket on vacation and just got back to this - thanks for the input :thumbsup:
I think I'll call my Sales Rep at Sweetwater and see if I can get some more information...
