I just picked up a brand new Elmwood 3100. This thing is the best amp I've ever had the pleasure to touch! I've had Herbert's, Elmwood M60 and M90, Engl., Bogner Uber, Mesa.....nothing comes close to this beast!. The clean is awesome and the 2nd and third channels are the bomb. The design of the front panel is user friendly as well as functional.

To bad this model was discontinued. If you get a chance to play with this amp, do it.

What makes this different than the M90? I just got a M90 and love it, Is this like a 3 channel version of the M90?

Its heavier sound wise than the 90. Bonus is the clean is outstanding. You also get the parallel loop.

Its also got 4 power tubes EL34 and get this 8 preamp tubes!

I demoed my M90 against a 3100 some dude was selling .....the M90 is tighter, more compressed, more aggressive high gain. The cleans and boosted cleans are pretty weak on the M90, imo. The 3100 has more sparkly, open cleans. Nice Marshall style crunch channel and the lead channel was nice with alot of mids but not really what I was looking for. I was hoping to trade the M90 for it but after playing it both me and the guy were not interested in trading.

The M90 has KT88s and the 3100 has EL34s.

Josh Sage told me he got the amp from the guy after I tried it, so I wonder who has it now?

iF it sounds half as good as it looks, it must be great!

I've played the 3100 and I can't say I agree with that at all.
