So, I had a big post griping about how this thing was double grounded was short circuiting itself but I must say, the setup sounds good!

After further review, I think I see what happened and I believe that I was the cause of it. Basically, the grounding sleeve accidentally touched the output end.

Ensured that was shortened and it could not happen again when everything was pressed in and good to go!

I would personally buy the parts separately and save money and hassle but whatever.

Wired in one of their 50s LP jr sets and a new Jared James P90.

Sounds killer!

Really nice sounding pickup and wiring setup.

It is in one of those Harley Benton models.

It is definitely a player!

Did this for a friend. Has me eyeing a few HB models.

Had a buddy order a custom 50s Les Paul junior wiring kit from them. Overpriced for what it is, but whatever, they wanted it. Comes already soldered up, which is kind of annoying since you can just shove an output jack in while still connected but again.... whatever....

Also soldered in a Jared James P90.

The gripe? I spent hours trying to figure out why I had no sound when I know I wired it right.

What did it end up being? This custom, high dollar thing was wired wrong. They accidentally jumped another ground and shirt circuited the whole thing.

I mean seriously, all that overpricing and it is MORE difficult than if I would have just done it from scratch?

Idiotic to say the least.
I've used their pre done harnesses probably a dozen times .... never a problem ... all Gibsons LP's and one SG

Yeah, I actually edited the original post because in the end, it sounds so good. It was a weird issue and one I am still trying to sort out in my head but it is what it is and we all make mistakes so... Yeah, I'd recommend them overall.

I tried them for the first time maybe 8 or 9 years ago in a Trad Pro I had ..... people can say what they want about tone caps .... there was a difference . in feel and tone ..

Yeah I normally dislike using tone circuits in general I have found but this one sounds great. I even like to turn it midway for a different feel and stuff.

I am thoroughly impressed and would recommend them.

It is a pretty penny, but they use high grade stuff.

dude .... hi gain lead tone .... roll back the tone all the way on a neck humbucker ...... total liquid "woman tone "

add a Green Ringer to the front of that ....and you've got a bad ass synth type lead tone that will slice through any mix

I can imagine! This is a single bridge pickup guitar and I STILL was rolling down all the way for a cool sound.

Definitely has me thinking about something they make for my main guitar possibly in the far future lol

All my guitars have their caps in them .... all the Gibsons have pre wired harnesses .... they use 18 Ga bus wire for the grounding ... the more the mass on grounding usually the quieter something is ... if designed to do so anyway ..

Yeah, it is SUPER thick. Nice. Who knows, maybe I somehow crossed a cable when I installed the jack again or something (the jack won't just drop in).

I did not photo doc the steps or I would know 1000% but in the end, it works, it matches their wiring diagram, and sounds absolutely massive and quiet as can be.

If YOU like it, it must sound good! Lol
