EMG wiring question: 81/85, 1 vol, no tone.

Hey guys,

I picked up a cheapie Ibanez that I'm gonna put EMGs in, but have some questions. I only want one volume knob and no tone, with the 3 way blade switch. To make this happen, am I to clip the capacitor, clip wire 1, and just extend wire 2 from the jack to the lug on the vol pot?? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Woops, I copied the wrong diagram (gibson switch pictured), but the rest should be ok.

I can't say I noticed a difference in tone when I did away with the tone pot.

There was a few days in between play time though..so maybe that's why. I just did it because I really never used it.
 
Yeah, I don't plan on using it with this axe either, so it had to go hehe
