Eminence Swamp Thangs: Holy Crap!

I paired them with V30's in my 4x12, and holy crap! They're new, but still very even. I took out the Greenbacks I had in there, and man, they are the bomb! They over power the V30's just a tad, but man, they sound good! Bad part is, my JSX sounds better than the Engl!!

Dark as all hell and close to unbreakable. They are cool mixed but a little tubby in the bottom. I did not have luck mixing them as i couldnt find a tone that balanced acroos both speakers well. Lately I prefer the delta 12a regular for these types of sounds and that thing will NEVER break up.

I have that same combination in an old 5150 straight cab. It thumps hard, but the V30s are badly overwhelmed in terms of volume. I'm thinking a higher-sensitivity speaker like a Governor or CV-75 might be a better fit.

I have 2 ADA 2x12s with 1 Swamp Thang and 1 Eminence Tonker and those balance well and have played nice with a bunch of different amps.

I just put a pair into a 2x12 combo with a Mesa Heartbreaker but I haven't had a chance to crank it up yet.
