I woke up one day and I was more awesomer than usual. That's when all the suits came knockin' with contracts.

Hi,

well, I don't think, that there are any endorsments with Diezel Amps. I guess, Peter lets talk (sound) his amps for themselves, a lot of guys love them and you find enough professional guitarists playing them. Since Peter is running his business himself (together with Peter Stapfer), he hasn't got time and possibilities like the big companies to offer endorsment deals, and I could imagine, that this is not his priority - he spends a lot of his time for developing and customer service.

Best wishes

Actually i meant any kind of an endorsment like strings or even with a guitar company or something else.
Maybe my question wasn´t clear enough.

thanks for your answer

I thought, you were talking about endorsments concerning Diezel amps.
Didn't get it, sorry!

Best

Like i said...my question wasn´t clear enough so it was my fault.

I would love endorsments but I don't play out enough and the fact that I am really lazy does not help at all.

My question to you is: Would you take an endorsment for a product that you do not use or that you dislike?

why would you do that? would you ask your aunt for her ugly vase if you don't like it and put it in the storage room?

If you're not in a band or playing out, you can also use Youtube. Put together a gear review page and be creative/record good quality clips with lots of playing and entertainment and minimal talking. If it catches on and you get a lot of subscribers who like what you're doing, companies will want to advertise their products through your youtube fanbase.

Endorsements really don't mean sh*t. There, I said it. I've got a good dozen or so guys that take their Celestion and Eminence endorsement fees and pay me for speakers with that money.

Typically an endorsement is valid only if the product being endorsed was bought by the "endorsee" first, then did demos/interviews/etc with them proclaiming they used them to achieve their sound. After that type of activity does it make sense to me, as a player, and as a businessman.

My standard deal for artists has always been:

Make me 4 clips I can use on my site, with the sound and playing that stands out, I'll give you two speakers. After that you qualify for the artist relations price.

I know, I know. But if Steve Stevens, Pete Thorn and Keith Urban can pay for the gear they get from me... ;)

  That's a lot of work for an endorsement. Shit, IMO any endorsement is not worth it, by the time any company is willing to endorse you. You get really little benefits from it. Unless it's a company you really like & want to help out, I would not worry about it. You can spend that time doing other things that will bring you much more income.

If you are in it for discounts: it's not worth it. Do you really think that discount you get is worth attaching some company's sticker on your ass?
If you are in it because you think that will bring you more listeners: wrong. Users of gear aren't your fanbase.

The only case I could see benefiting here would be a recording studio that does reamping service over internet or something like that.
