hey guys, i have been getting a lot of requests for some clips of this amp so here ya go!
its really rough i know and the takes arent tight at all cuz i wasnt even planning on posting it, but i figured since it came out decent itll give you a sense of the amp on channel 3 (bright, higain) and 1 (bright), on the clean channel i have the gmajor taking care of the phaser and delay.
i miked it with this weird mike jake has which i think is either the predecessor or prototype to the sm57, it looks exactly like a 57 but has a silver casing and an on/off switch as well.
i didnt take much care with mic placement, i just put it in front of the speaker and went for it, plugging it straight into the firepod and going from there, so there is definitely a LOT of room for improvement, and there is no bass in this clip either cuz i figured you guys would want to hear the amp, but yeah enough talk here ya go:

AWESOME!!

btw - those drums sound amazing, what are you using?

Bulb,

Sounds pretty good man!! Try moving the mic to the right a bit...Takes care of brightness sometimes for me.

If you don'y mind me asking, how do you program drums in whichever software that you use? Do you just click everything in?? Also, would you mind sharing what processing goes on with the drums? I assume this is DFHS right? thanks,

-Joe

PS: Icarus Lives is on constant rotation on my iTunes! m/

Not that tight???? PLease...................

Sounds excellent as always and I agree with the placement, move it more towards the edge to kill some of the highs.

Great job, you have some excellent skills.

thanks guys

copperhead: i was using drumkit from hell superior

mightyjoeyoung: yeah i click everything in with the mouse, i figure since i would be editing with the mouse anyways might as well just do it all with the mouse!
as for the guitar tone, i like bright tones, so i actually eq'd it to sound like that, but yeah it would be really easy to get a darker tone if you were so inclined!
my mic placement skills are totally nonexistant however, so i still have to find what the best spot will be for me!

Sounds pretty sweet-ass-sweet!! I'm the same as you, I LOVE bright tones, unfortuantely brighter tone sometimes seems to take away from the thickness, not in this case though!

I generally like bright tones but thats a bit too much for me. Still sounds killer! I hate listening to engl clips... it makes me really want one and I cant afford them

I really liked both the clean and hi gain tones.
really awesome!
