I never really pat myself on the back ..... I'm doing so for this one .... I busted my ass on this .... from laying out the board and keeping everything " through - hole " components and fitting it into a 1590BB enclosure ..... to the aesthetic of the final look of the pedal ....
the power design of this circuit was " unique to me " so it was a little challenging ..... but it paid off ....
This thing is just friggin INSANE !! It's definitely the most spot on sounding pedal vs amp that I have done .

Interesting. I'll have to remember about this on my next pay cheque. I had a vh-140c for a while and it definitely had one of the most aggressive sounding tones that an amp can do... nice grind to it and extremely tight sounding. I think this would sound killer in the loop of a tube amp or into a tube power amp.

If you want in on the first batch of 5 or 10 .... there will be a half down deposit required ... it will be about 3 weeks from the time I close initial ordering .
All you have to do is DM me .....
How much are these running?

Wayne, would you say this pedal would be better ran in a loop or in front?
any kind of pre amp pedal IMO ... sounds better in the loop bypassing the amps stock one ... with that said though ..... I had this into the front end of my Shiva 20th ... before I went into the loop .... and it sounded killer also ... not as good as the loop ... but really good .

...i really shouldnt, but i probably will. The chiron and superdrive are my favorite pedalss. I looove them

Do you also have a VH140C? How does this compare through the loop of a tube amp?
I do not have a 140C ..... I'm going on what I hear in the multiple youtube vids on it I found .... being solid state ..... it's obviously a lot easier to match the sound .... I did find a really good schematic on the 140C .... matching that .... duplicating the power supply ... and fitting it into a 1590BB was the mofo .....
I first ran it into my Shiva 20th's ( KT88's ) front end 's clean channel ...... sounded just massive ... .

then I ran it straight into the effects return of the Shiva ..... and then my 800/JEL that runs 6550's for some different power amp flavor ..... both tests were just sick .... just plain sick ....

I'm not set up at the moment to even attempt clips unfortunately ( working on this part ) ...... and I hate doing " phone in the room " clips .....
