DESCRIPTION:
I have for sale an EBMM Sterling 5 HS in a super classy "Black Cherry Burst" finish color.
Specs:
• Body wood: “select hardwood” (alder)
• Color: Black Cherry Burst
• Body finish: gloss
• Scale length: 34" (864mm)
• Neck wood: maple
• Neck construction: bolt-on
• Neck finish: gunstock oil with hand-rubbed special wax blend
• Neck width at nut: 1-3/4" (44.5mm)
• Neck width at last fret: 2-3/4" (69.9mm)
• Fretboard wood: maple
• Fretboard radius: 11" (279mm)
• Frets: 22 wide, high-profile
• Pickups: Music Man humbucker and Music Man single-coil (both with ceramic magnets)
• Controls: 5-way blade selector, volume, 3-band EQ (bass, mid, treble)
• Bridge: Music Man chrome-plated steel plate with stainless steel saddles
• Tuners: Music Man lightweight tuners
The original Music Man Sterling hardcase from the factory will be included in the sale.
The original pickguard from the factory has been swapped out for a custom-cut replacement with a black/gold, pseudo-pearloid patterned material. (The shop called the material color "El Dorado"; and it seemed to aesthetically complement the red burst finish and maple fretboard wood very nicely.)
CONDITION:
Some buckle rash is present on the back of the body. There are several tiny chips around the edges of the headstock, along with one notable chip at the base of the headstock near the nut. The plate around the output jack is slightly rusted/oxidized. All damage has been documented in the photos.
