Please follow rule #15 and append the item to the title, mate.

"Sold", "Delete" and so on don't tell shoppers very much. Seeing that product X sold for Y dollars or that someone changed his mind about parting with item Z is helpful to many and makes for pleasant browsing, hence our policy.

I'd have edited the title myself, as I often do in the interests of expediency, but I wasn't 100% sure of the exact model.

Thanks man.

I don't get it..I've amended it twice.. It's sold, elsewhere. What's a "shopper" need to know about a sold item? Nobody here inquired about it?

Shoppers like to compare sales to help determine what good deals are.

Sellers like to see what others have managed to sell items for.

So, in these regards it doesn't matter whether or not you had any enquiries here. All this said, it would've been helpful if you'd not deleted the ad details, including the sale price, for obvious reasons.

At any rate, at least peeps can now see that this particular model guitar sold, albeit without a specified sale price.

Sorry, force of habit. Been doing it for many years. It was initially done to alert the mods to remove the post to reduce clutter.

Hey, I hear ya bro'. Many peeps used to do this, as you'd know.

A while back the mods decided not to delete old ads in case they ever needed to be revisited in cases of bad experiences or whatever.

I'm the guilty one when it comes to creating rule #15, a logical extension of that policy that also serves the functions I mentioned above. Additionally, it cleans up the Classifieds section in that every thread, in-title at least, is meaningful. No more delete / sold / gone / "----" and similar threads scattered about the place. Makes for better shopping / browsing of course.

So yeah, once peeps get used to the simple idea of prepending / appending the word/s "sold", "changed my mind" or whatever to the titles, I'll have a lot less work to do hopefully.
