I'm thinking about getting an ESP Horizon; either an NT-II or a Custom. The one that came in Dark Brown Sunburst looks nice. But, I think they don't make that one anymore? It's hard to tell because different sites (including the ESP USA and Japan) have different models listed. I'm currently in Japan and I'm trying to decide if I should buy one here or wait until I get back to the States.
I'm basically looking for one with JB/59 pickups, string-thru-body, ton-pros locking bridge, and Sperzel locking tuners.
The Horizon Custom listed on the USA site looks different from the ones being sold on other sites as well. Different headstock, finish, and a few different options.
The price seems to vary at a lot of places, too. A few shops have the NT-II listed for around $1,600 and a few others have it over $2,200. The Custom is listed over $3,000. So, what are your opinions? I actually just found an NT-II DBSB for $1,300. Is that a good price?
I currently have a PRS Singlecut, which I love. But, I'm looking for a "shredder" type guitar to tune down a step in drop D and will use to to play stuff like Killswitch Engage and lots of chugga chugga stuff.
